On
the night of November 13, 1974, Suffolk County Detective Howard
Sommers had the responsibility of photographing the entire interior
and exterior of 112 Ocean Avenue. When he had finished, 11 rolls of
film documented the DeFeo crime scene.
Because the public has been so fascinated
with the famous Amityville house and with the DeFeo story, The
Amityville Murders has created a gallery of crime-scene photos to
help tell the real story and to satisfy the public's curiosity with the
interior of the house. Several of these images are graphic in nature, so
discretion is advised. A broadband connection is recommended, as well.
