November 13, 2004 will mark the 30th anniversary of the DeFeo murders. The Amityville Murders has decided to commemorate the tragic deaths of the DeFeos with the full-color family portraits. These one-of-kind, near life-size paintings took over a year to complete and were finalized in 1972. Tragically, two years later, the subjects themselves would be murdered by one of their own, Ronald "Butch" DeFeo, Jr., who was convicted of killing all six members of his family.
